Emerson will inspect the products in batches as soon as the products are put into storage, 18000 pieces for each batch. If one in 18000 pieces is detected defect, the whole batch of products will be regarded as unqualified, then all products must be returned immediately and thus the loss should also be compensated.
At that time, such an extremely demanding export standard was never met before, not only by HONGFA, or any other domestic relay enterprises. Under such circumstances, Guo Manjin, president of the company, pointed out that: " Whoever achieves ‘C=0’ first will definitely prevail." "Now it is the perfect time and opportunity for us to greatly improve our quality management ability. We shall turn the external impetus into our innate initiative to improve our quality management ability, and bring a groundbreaking change for the enterprise."
"C=0" is an opportunity rather than a burden for HONGFA. After an arduous struggle, the products finally met Emerson's requirements and completed this special export task. After this trial, the cultivation of quality awareness and the establishment of quality management system progressed rapidly in the enterprise and the employees had a better understanding about quality.
